Apple and cinnamon hot cakes
Ingredients
- 200g plain flour
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 275ml milk
- 4 apples, peeled and chipped into chunks
- butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- vanilla ice cream and maple syrup to serve
Method
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and caster sugar, then add the egg, and milk until you have a thick batter.
- Meanwhile, cook the apple with the butter, sugar, and cinnamon until soft, keep warm. Melt some butter in a non-stick pan, then drop in spoonfuls of the batter. When little holes appear in the surface, turn over and cook until golden on each side. Serve with apple, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.
